Panel Inspects SGPDA Market Irregularities; Officials Attend

A committee investigating alleged irregularities within the South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA) markets conducted its initial on-site inspection at the Margao wholesale fish market. Headed by Deputy Collector Ganesh Barve, the 15-member panel includes officials from various government departments. The inspection, which may extend for several days, aims to assess sanitation, public health, infrastructure, and fire safety. The committee will submit a report with recommendations to address identified problems and ensure proper functioning of the market complex.

साउथ गोवा प्लानिंग एंड डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी (SGPDA) मार्केट में कथित अनियमितताओं की जांच कर रही एक समिति ने मडगांव थोक मछली बाजार में अपनी शुरुआती ऑन-साइट निरीक्षण किया। डिप्टी कलेक्टर गणेश बर्वे की अध्यक्षता वाली 15-सदस्यीय समिति में विभिन्न सरकारी विभागों के अधिकारी शामिल हैं। यह निरीक्षण, जो कई दिनों तक चल सकता है, स्वच्छता, सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य, बुनियादी ढांचे और अग्नि सुरक्षा का आकलन करने के लिए है। समिति बाजार परिसर के उचित कामकाज को सुनिश्चित करने और पहचानी गई समस्याओं को दूर करने के लिए सिफारिशों के साथ एक रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करेगी।
