Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation's Food Safety Department conducted a special inspection drive in October to ensure food quality and hygiene during the festive season. Officials inspected 41 food establishments and collected 62 samples of sweets, snacks, ghee, and edible oil for laboratory analysis. Six units received improvement notices for violations, including unhygienic conditions. The registration certificate of one establishment was suspended due to extremely poor hygiene standards, highlighting the department's commitment to public health.
