These members are challenging the Centre's decision to take over the club's 27.3-acre premises and the subsequent eviction notices. Previously, the High Court had refused to hear the plea, stating only the club itself could challenge the government's decision. The Supreme Court's order permits the members to approach the High Court, subject to any legal objections raised by the opposing side regarding maintainability.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट को दिल्ली जिमखाना क्लब के 11 सदस्यों द्वारा दायर याचिका पर विचार करने का निर्देश दिया है। ये सदस्य क्लब के 27.3 एकड़ परिसर पर केंद्र के अधिग्रहण के फैसले और उसके बाद जारी बेदखली नोटिस को चुनौती दे रहे हैं। पहले, हाई कोर्ट ने याचिका सुनने से इनकार कर दिया था, यह कहते हुए कि केवल क्लब ही सरकार के फैसले को चुनौती दे सकता है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश से सदस्यों को हाई कोर्ट जाने की अनुमति मिल गई है, बशर्ते कि विरोधी पक्ष द्वारा स्वीकार्यता के संबंध में कोई कानूनी आपत्ति न उठाई जाए।
