The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has rejected the bail applications of Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui and eight others involved in an alleged illegal conversion racket. The court deemed the charges against Siddiqui, Umar Gautam, and six other convicts as extremely serious, finding no grounds for bail at this stage. However, eight other individuals convicted in the same case have been granted bail, pending the outcome of their criminal appeals. These individuals must deposit 50% of their trial court fines within two months to maintain their bail.
