DR Congo Ebola Outbreak Surpasses 7,000 Cases

The Democratic Republic of the Congo's worst Ebola epidemic has now recorded over 7,000 cases. Congolese authorities confirmed 7,022 registered cases, with 3,398 deaths attributed to the outbreak. Currently, 837 individuals are receiving treatment or are in isolation. This epidemic, caused by the Bundibugyo virus, began in the northeastern Ituri province and has spread to seven provinces. Schools in Ituri are implementing strict hygiene measures amid parental concerns.
