Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav inaugurated a Kanya Pujan Mahotsav in Gaya, Bihar, on Sunday, marking Maha Ashtami. The event, organised by a social organisation at Gandhi Maidan, aims to worship 2,100 girls and promote respect for girls, social harmony, and community participation. This initiative has been running for nine years, with last year seeing 1,100 participants. Bihar Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar also attended the inaugural session. Meanwhile, district officials reviewed security arrangements for Durga Puja festivities, including pandal safety and crowd management.

नागालैंड के राज्यपाल नंद किशोर यादव ने रविवार को महा अष्टमी के अवसर पर गया, बिहार में एक कन्या पूजन महोत्सव का उद्घाटन किया। गांधी मैदान में एक सामाजिक संगठन द्वारा आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य 2,100 लड़कियों की पूजा करना और लड़कियों के प्रति सम्मान, सामाजिक सद्भाव और सामुदायिक भागीदारी को बढ़ावा देना है। यह पहल नौ वर्षों से चल रही है, जिसमें पिछले साल 1,100 प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया था। बिहार विधानसभा अध्यक्ष प्रेम कुमार ने भी उद्घाटन सत्र में भाग लिया। इस बीच, जिला अधिकारियों ने दुर्गा पूजा उत्सवों के लिए सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की समीक्षा की, जिसमें पंडाल की सुरक्षा और भीड़ प्रबंधन शामिल है।
