Scientists have discovered complex sugar molecules, essential for life, in a meteorite. These molecules, specifically pyrimidine and purine, are building blocks of DNA and RNA. Their presence in the Murchison meteorite, which fell in Australia in 1969, suggests that these vital organic compounds could have been delivered to early Earth from space.
