NIA Arrests Assam Man in Kerala Terror Network

NIA has arrested Monirul Islam, a 54-year-old man from Assam, from his rented home in Palakkad, Kerala. This arrest is part of a larger crackdown on a suspected cross-border terror recruitment network. Raids were conducted across 16 locations in Kerala, Assam, and West Bengal, targeting activities linked to Imam Mahmud’s Kafilah (IMK). The investigation stems from an earlier arrest of 11 individuals in Assam. Islam, who had moved to Kerala for work, was taken into custody after a search of his residence.
