बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री ने राज्य में बाढ़ से प्रभावित इलाकों का हवाई सर्वेक्षण किया। नेपाल से आया बाढ़ का पानी गंडक नदी में घुस गया है और 26 अगस्त को एक बैराज तक पहुँच गया। पानी का स्तर बढ़ने के कारण राज्य को हाई अलर्ट पर रखा गया है। यह स्थिति प्राकृतिक आपदाओं के सीमा-पार प्रभाव और बाढ़-प्रवण क्षेत्रों में तैयारी की आवश्यकता को दर्शाती है।
