Bihar Mandates Thesis Upload on Shodhganga for PhD Degrees

Bihar's universities must now upload PhD research theses on the Shodhganga portal before awarding degrees, as per new directives from Lok Bhawan. This rule aims to curb plagiarism and ensure research integrity, following concerns raised by the Governor and Chancellor's Secretariat over non-compliance. Universities have been asked to submit reports on uploaded theses, with the process requiring thesis upload within a week of the oral examination. While universities have uploaded over 20,000 theses, approximately 50,000 remain pending.

बिहार में पीएचडी डिग्री के लिए शोधगंगा पर थीसिस अपलोड करना अब ज़रूरी

बिहार के विश्वविद्यालयों को अब डिग्री देने से पहले पीएचडी शोध प्रबंध (थीसिस) को शोधगंगा पोर्टल पर अपलोड करना होगा। यह नया नियम लोक भवन से जारी हुआ है। इसका मकसद साहित्यिक चोरी को रोकना और शोध की प्रामाणिकता सुनिश्चित करना है। राज्यपाल और कुलाधिपति सचिवालय ने इस मामले में नियमों का पालन न होने पर चिंता जताई थी। विश्वविद्यालयों से अपलोड की गई थीसिस पर रिपोर्ट मांगी गई है। इस प्रक्रिया में मौखिक परीक्षा के एक हफ्ते के अंदर थीसिस अपलोड करनी होगी। हालांकि विश्वविद्यालयों ने 20,000 से ज़्यादा थीसिस अपलोड कर दी हैं, लेकिन अभी भी करीब 50,000 थीसिस बाकी हैं।
