A joint team formed by Trichy district collector Pratik Tayal inspected the Trichy-Karur national highway on Friday to identify solutions for preventing fatal accidents. The team, comprising officials from revenue, police, and highways departments, reviewed a 25-km stretch between Kudamurutti bridge and Pettaivaithalai. They noted infrastructure lapses, including narrow sections and steep curves, and identified the need for additional streetlights. A report detailing these issues and suggesting viable short- and long-term interventions will be submitted to the collector within two days for implementation.

तिरुचि जिला कलेक्टर प्रतीक गोयल द्वारा गठित एक संयुक्त टीम ने घातक दुर्घटनाओं को रोकने के समाधान खोजने के लिए शुक्रवार को तिरुचि-करूर राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग का निरीक्षण किया। राजस्व, पुलिस और राजमार्ग विभागों के अधिकारियों की टीम ने कुडामुरुट्टी पुल और पेट्टावैथलाई के बीच 25 किमी के हिस्से की समीक्षा की। उन्होंने संकरे हिस्से और तेज मोड़ों सहित बुनियादी ढांचे की खामियों को नोट किया और अतिरिक्त स्ट्रीट लाइट की आवश्यकता की पहचान की। इन मुद्दों और अल्पकालिक व दीर्घकालिक हस्तक्षेपों का सुझाव देने वाली एक रिपोर्ट कार्यान्वयन के लिए दो दिनों के भीतर कलेक्टर को सौंपी जाएगी।
