Lebanese Immigrants' Melbourne Home Sells For A$960,000 After 40 Years

Times of India · interesting

A Melbourne couple, who emigrated from Lebanon in 1982, sold their family home of over four decades for A$960,000. The four-bedroom house in Maidstone had been where they raised their four children. The sale brought the long-time owners to tears when the winning buyers promised not to demolish the existing structure. This reassurance meant the home, filled with family memories, would be preserved rather than immediately replaced. The sellers are downsizing to a property in Taylors Lakes.
