BPS Government Medical College Wins International Innovation Prize

Haryana's BPS Government Medical College for Women has made history by becoming the first Indian institution to win the IMU-Ron Harden Innovation in Medical Education (IMU-RHIME) Award 2026. The college received the award for its student leadership programme, 'NEST, at the 19th International Medical Education Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This initiative trained 278 medical students across India, who then led 63 projects addressing critical community health issues. The award aims to recognise innovative contributions to medical education that might otherwise go unnoticed.

हरियाणा के बीपीएस सरकारी महिला मेडिकल कॉलेज ने इतिहास रच दिया है। यह IMU-Ron Harden Innovation in Medical Education (IMU-RHIME) Award 2026 जीतने वाला पहला भारतीय संस्थान बन गया है। कॉलेज को कुआलालंपुर, मलेशिया में 19वीं International Medical Education Conference में उसके छात्र नेतृत्व कार्यक्रम 'NEST' के लिए यह पुरस्कार मिला। इस पहल ने पूरे भारत में 278 मेडिकल छात्रों को प्रशिक्षित किया, जिन्होंने फिर महत्वपूर्ण सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं को हल करने वाली 63 परियोजनाओं का नेतृत्व किया। इस पुरस्कार का उद्देश्य चिकित्सा शिक्षा में ऐसे अभिनव योगदानों को पहचानना है जो अन्यथा अनदेखे रह सकते हैं।
