Munish Bali, who has held the role since 2022, has faced criticism for the team's inconsistent fielding performances. The recent Zimbabwe ODI series highlighted persistent catching and fielding inefficiencies. The BCCI is seeking candidates to develop world-class fielding programs and maintain high standards across all formats. Applications are being accepted online, with specific coaching and playing experience requirements.
