Nashik Municipal Corporation Appoints Co-opted Corporators After Court Order

The Nashik Municipal Corporation has finally moved forward with appointing 10 co-opted corporators, nearly nine months after civic polls, following directions from the Bombay High Court. The BJP, entitled to six seats based on its strength, nominated six party members, while the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) nominated two. The Shiv Sena (UBT) had previously submitted its nominees. This allocation was based on the numerical strength of parties in the civic body, with BJP securing the most seats due to its 72 corporators.
