All-Woman SIT Probes Granite Baron's POCSO Case

An all-woman special investigation team has been formed to probe the POCSO case against Tamil Nadu granite baron R Veeramani. The team, comprising four senior police officers, will investigate allegations of sexual abuse against minor girls. The case gained attention after a pen drive with a video was handed to police in October 2025. Investigators believe the alleged abuse may have spanned over two decades, with Veeramani, 84, and associates arrested on August 29. The probe is also examining financial transactions and potential evidence suppression.
