Allahabad HC Upholds Reproductive Autonomy, Eases Surrogacy Age

The Allahabad High Court has upheld a couple's reproductive autonomy, ruling that a woman's right to decide on surrogacy cannot be restricted by age. The court stated that the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021, does not impose an upper age limit for women seeking surrogacy.

इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट ने एक जोड़े के प्रजनन संबंधी अधिकारों को बरकरार रखा है। कोर्ट ने फैसला सुनाया कि सरोगेसी पर महिला का फैसला उसकी उम्र से सीमित नहीं किया जा सकता। कोर्ट ने कहा कि असिस्टेड रिप्रोडक्टिव टेक्नोलॉजी (रेगुलेशन) एक्ट, 2021 में सरोगेसी चाहने वाली महिलाओं के लिए कोई ऊपरी आयु सीमा नहीं है।
