Doctor Testifies Against Shiv Sena Corporator Ramesh Mhatre in Assault Case

Dr. Vaibhav Salunkhe, the complainant in an assault case from July 6, began recording his testimony against Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre and others before a fast-track court in Kalyan. The assault allegedly occurred after doctors advised a pregnant woman to seek further treatment in Mumbai. Mhatre is currently in jail. Salunkhe testified that he had not received direct threats but was under significant mental stress, leading him to resign from his job. The defense suggested negligence by doctors as the cause of the incident.

डॉ. वैभव सालुंखे, जो 6 जुलाई के एक हमले के मामले में शिकायतकर्ता हैं, ने कल्याण की एक फास्ट-ट्रैक अदालत में शिवसेना के कॉर्पोरेटर रमेश म्हात्रे और अन्य के खिलाफ अपनी गवाही दर्ज कराना शुरू कर दिया है। यह हमला कथित तौर पर तब हुआ जब डॉक्टरों ने एक गर्भवती महिला को मुंबई में आगे के इलाज की सलाह दी थी। म्हात्रे फिलहाल जेल में हैं। सालुंखे ने गवाही दी कि उन्हें सीधे तौर पर धमकी नहीं मिली थी, लेकिन वे काफी मानसिक तनाव में थे, जिसके कारण उन्होंने अपनी नौकरी से इस्तीफा दे दिया। बचाव पक्ष ने घटना का कारण डॉक्टरों की लापरवाही बताई।
