According to Vastu Shastra, the sacred Tulsi plant should not be placed in certain areas of the home to avoid negative effects. These locations include the south direction, which is associated with Yamraj, and areas like bedrooms, bathrooms, or near toilets due to their lack of purity. It is also advised against placing Tulsi in dark, unventilated spots, directly next to the kitchen stove, near garbage bins, or under staircases.
