Starting a business in India is more expensive than in China or Vietnam, impacting the nation's Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). India boasts approximately 6.4 crore MSMEs, a significant contributor to the economy, yet a very small percentage engage in exports. This sector accounts for nearly 45 percent of India's total exports, highlighting the potential for growth if startup costs were more competitive.
