Similipal Tiger Reserve has launched a green-skilling initiative targeting tribal youngsters, particularly women, to link livelihood generation with wildlife conservation. The program aims to create sustainable employment, reduce reliance on forest resources, and curb threats to wildlife. Two centers, the Similipal Skill Development Centre and the Green Skilling Centre, will train 800 local youths over the next year. This initiative seeks to equip young people with market-oriented skills, including hospitality roles for ecotourism and mobile assembly, thereby securing the future of both the people and the reserve.

सिमिलिपाल टाइगर रिजर्व ने आदिवासी युवाओं, खासकर महिलाओं को लक्षित करते हुए एक ग्रीन-स्किल्स पहल शुरू की है, जिसका उद्देश्य आजीविका सृजन को वन्यजीव संरक्षण से जोड़ना है। इस कार्यक्रम का लक्ष्य स्थायी रोजगार पैदा करना, वन संसाधनों पर निर्भरता कम करना और वन्यजीवों के लिए खतरों को रोकना है। अगले एक साल में दो केंद्र, सिमिलिपाल स्किल डेवलपमेंट सेंटर और ग्रीन स्किल्सिंग सेंटर, 800 स्थानीय युवाओं को प्रशिक्षित करेंगे। इस पहल का उद्देश्य युवाओं को बाजार-उन्मुख कौशल से लैस करना है, जिसमें इको-टूरिज्म के लिए हॉस्पिटैलिटी भूमिकाएं और मोबाइल असेंबली शामिल हैं, जिससे लोगों और रिजर्व दोनों के भविष्य को सुरक्षित किया जा सके।
