The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Hyderabad has secured court approval to close two corruption cases against police personnel. This brings the total number of cases against government officials closed by the bureau since 2023 to approximately 22. In one case, a disproportionate assets case against an SP-rank officer was closed after the government declined prosecution, citing procedural lapses and risky service. In another, a bribery case involving an inspector, sub-inspector, and home guard was also closed, with the government opting for departmental action instead of prosecution.
