Cricket Law Change: Batsman Not Out if Ball Hits Non-Striker's Stumps
TV9 Hindi · sports
MCC, the guardian of cricket laws, has amended the 'bowled' rule. Previously, if a ball hit the non-striker's stumps and then dislodged the bails of the striker's stumps, the batsman was given out. This change ensures a batsman will no longer be dismissed in such a scenario. The MCC introduced this clarification after a junior county match incident highlighted the ambiguity. Several other rule changes, including penalties for deliberate time-wasting and the use of pink balls in day Tests, have also been implemented.
