Severe Cyclonic Storm Murasu brought heavy rainfall of around 100 mm to Vijayawada and surrounding areas on Tuesday, November 3. The city experienced continuous rain from early morning until 8 p.m., with the intensity increasing after the storm crossed the coast near Ongole. Several roads became waterlogged due to the downpour, affecting areas like NTR Circle and Auto Nagar. The India Meteorological Department issued a red alert for the district, prompting the declaration of a holiday for schools and colleges on Wednesday.
