Miami Teen Pepper-Sprayed, Still Chases Down Jewel Thief

Miami Police have honoured high school senior Harry Cossyphas with a hero award for his bravery in apprehending a man accused of jewellery theft. Cossyphas heard a woman shouting about a robber and pursued the suspect, even after being pepper-sprayed. He chased the man into an alley and held him on the ground until police arrived on August 6. Officials have nicknamed him the ‘Spider-Man of Brickell’ for his courageous actions. Cossyphas was among 11 students recognised by the department for their community work.

मियामी पुलिस ने हाई स्कूल के सीनियर हैरी कॉसीफास को गहनों की चोरी के आरोपी को पकड़ने में उनकी बहादुरी के लिए एक हीरो अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया है। कॉसीफास ने एक महिला को लुटेरे के बारे में चिल्लाते हुए सुना और मिर्ची स्प्रे किए जाने के बाद भी संदिग्ध का पीछा किया। उन्होंने आदमी का एक गली में पीछा किया और 6 अगस्त को पुलिस के आने तक उसे जमीन पर पकड़ लिया। अधिकारियों ने उनके साहसी कार्यों के लिए उन्हें 'ब्रिकेल का स्पाइडर-मैन' उपनाम दिया है। कॉसीफास को उनके सामुदायिक कार्यों के लिए विभाग द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त 11 छात्रों में शामिल किया गया था।
