Jaishankar: Countries Far From Conflicts Penalised

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated at the UNGA that countries distant from conflicts are being penalised without fault, with those most impacted having the least say. He highlighted ongoing hostilities in the Gulf and attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz as unacceptable. Jaishankar also invoked Prime Minister Modi's call for an end to the Ukraine conflict, stressing the need to address seafarer security and the supply of food and energy.

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने UNGA में कहा कि जो देश संघर्षों से दूर हैं, उन्हें बिना किसी गलती के सज़ा मिल रही है, जबकि सबसे ज़्यादा प्रभावित देशों की आवाज़ सबसे कम है। उन्होंने खाड़ी में चल रहे युद्धों और हॉरमुज़ जलडमरूमध्य में व्यावसायिक जहाजों पर हमलों को अस्वीकार्य बताया। जयशंकर ने प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के यूक्रेन संघर्ष को समाप्त करने के आह्वान का भी ज़िक्र किया, और नाविकों की सुरक्षा तथा भोजन और ऊर्जा की आपूर्ति को संबोधित करने की ज़रूरत पर ज़ोर दिया।
