लखनऊ में महर्षि यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ इन्फॉर्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी के 7वें दीक्षांत समारोह में उत्तर प्रदेश की राज्यपाल आनंदीबेन पटेल ने युवाओं को रिश्तों और जिम्मेदारियों के बारे में सलाह दी। उन्होंने कहा कि गर्लफ्रेंड बनाना गलत नहीं है, लेकिन किए गए वादों को निभाना बहुत ज़रूरी है, खासकर शादी से जुड़े वादों को। पटेल ने इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि रिश्तों में सिर्फ जुड़ाव ही नहीं, बल्कि बड़ी जिम्मेदारियां भी होती हैं और वादों को निभाकर भरोसे को बनाए रखना महत्वपूर्ण है। राज्यपाल ने छात्रों से आग्रह किया कि वे अपने निजी जीवन में सोच-समझकर फैसले लें और अपने वादों की पवित्रता बनाए रखें।
