Delhi NCR Pollution Control: New GRAP Rules Affecting Vehicles and Construction

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has revised the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) for Delhi-NCR, introducing new rules for vehicles and construction activities. Announced on September 29, 2026, the framework has four stages based on air quality, with cumulative restrictions. Restrictions on BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel vehicles now extend to three Haryana and two Uttar Pradesh districts. Inter-city and inter-state buses not meeting specific emission standards or fuel types will face restrictions under Stage I. The CAQM has also removed exemptions for certain goods vehicles.
