The US military has deployed short-range air defense systems around Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida at the request of the US Secret Service. The Avenger air defense units, equipped with Stinger missiles capable of targeting low-flying aircraft, helicopters, and drones, have been placed near the estate and at a nearby airport. Officials have not cited a specific threat, but the Secret Service noted they operate in a high-threat environment. This deployment addresses repeated airspace violations and the growing challenge posed by drones.
