The Central government has allocated an additional 14,520 metric tonnes of foodgrains to Uttarakhand for the Ardh Kumbh Mela 2027 in Haridwar. This allocation includes 7,260 metric tonnes of wheat and an equal quantity of rice, aimed at ensuring adequate availability and smooth supply of essential food items. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi informed Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami about the decision following a state government request. The additional stocks are intended to strengthen foodgrain availability and support the state's arrangements for the religious gathering.

केंद्र सरकार ने हरिद्वार में 2027 अर्ध कुंभ मेले के लिए उत्तराखंड को 14,520 मीट्रिक टन अतिरिक्त अनाज आवंटित किया है। इस आवंटन में 7,260 मीट्रिक टन गेहूं और उतनी ही मात्रा में चावल शामिल हैं, जिसका उद्देश्य आवश्यक खाद्य पदार्थों की पर्याप्त उपलब्धता और सुचारू आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करना है। केंद्रीय मंत्री प्रह्लाद जोशी ने राज्य सरकार के अनुरोध के बाद उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी को इस फैसले के बारे में सूचित किया। अतिरिक्त स्टॉक का उद्देश्य अनाज की उपलब्धता को मजबूत करना और धार्मिक आयोजन के लिए राज्य की व्यवस्थाओं का समर्थन करना है।
