Punjab Police have busted two foreign-linked arms and narcotics supply networks, arresting four individuals and seizing an M16 assault rifle, 15kg of opium, nine pistols, and 25 live cartridges. This marks the third seizure of an assault rifle in the state within 12 days, following previous confiscations of AK-47s and AK-56s. Preliminary investigations suggest the arrested men are connected to foreign-based smugglers. Separate FIRs have been registered, and authorities are actively tracing the origin of the weapons and opium, as well as identifying suppliers and intended recipients.
