Kerala HC Questions AMMA Disputes, Seeks Special Court

The Kerala High Court has expressed concern over the increasing number of petitions stemming from disputes within the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA). Justice Jobin Sebastian questioned if special courts would be needed to handle these cases, noting that common people's petitions are delayed. The court made these remarks while hearing a plea to quash a First Information Report against actor Lakshmipriya and others, filed by actor Ansiba Hassan. The FIR includes charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

केरल हाई कोर्ट ने एसोसिएशन ऑफ मलयालम मूवी आर्टिस्ट्स (AMMA) के भीतर विवादों से उत्पन्न होने वाली याचिकाओं की बढ़ती संख्या पर चिंता व्यक्त की है। जस्टिस जोबिन सेबेस्टियन ने सवाल किया कि क्या इन मामलों को संभालने के लिए विशेष अदालतों की आवश्यकता होगी, यह देखते हुए कि आम लोगों की याचिकाओं में देरी हो रही है। अदालत ने ये टिप्पणियां अभिनेता अनसिबा हसन द्वारा अभिनेता लक्ष्मीप्रिया और अन्य के खिलाफ दर्ज कराई गई फर्स्ट इंफॉर्मेशन रिपोर्ट (FIR) को रद्द करने की याचिका पर सुनवाई के दौरान कीं। FIR में भारतीय न्याय संहिता, 2023 के तहत आरोप शामिल हैं।
