The Belagavi District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Societies Union (BEMUL) has achieved a significant milestone by crossing daily milk procurement of over 3 lakh kg from farmers. This historic achievement marks a new high for the cooperative, which has never reached such levels before. The procurement includes approximately 21% buffalo milk, with Belagavi contributing the highest quantity in Northern Karnataka. BEMUL Chairman Balachandra Jarkiholi highlighted the benefits provided to farmers, including discounted equipment and financial aid for cooperative societies, encouraging them to supply more milk to BEMUL.
