50 Superstar Cases Filed Over Personality Rights

In the age of social media and AI, celebrity identities are being misused for commercial gain without permission. This has led to a surge in personality rights cases, with 50 such matters reaching Indian courts since 2022. The Delhi High Court will hear three cases involving actors Vivek Oberoi, Janhvi Kapoor, and Aradhya Bachchan together. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Arijit Singh, and Jackie Shroff have also filed cases concerning the unauthorized use of their names, voices, and images.

सोशल मीडिया और AI के इस दौर में, सेलेब्रिटी की पहचान का गलत इस्तेमाल बिना इजाज़त के व्यावसायिक फायदे के लिए हो रहा है। इसके चलते व्यक्तित्व अधिकारों के मामलों में बढ़ोतरी हुई है, 2022 से ऐसे 50 मामले भारतीय अदालतों तक पहुंचे हैं। दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट अभिनेताओं विवेक ओबेरॉय, जाह्नवी कपूर और आराध्या बच्चन से जुड़े तीन मामलों की एक साथ सुनवाई करेगा। अमिताभ बच्चन, अनिल कपूर, अरिजीत सिंह और जैकी श्रॉफ जैसे सेलेब्रिटीज़ ने भी अपने नाम, आवाज़ और तस्वीरों के अनधिकृत इस्तेमाल को लेकर केस दर्ज कराए हैं।
