BNP Paribas Cardif is set to re-enter the Indian insurance market by acquiring a significant stake in IndiaFirst Life Insurance. This move will see Warburg Pincus exit the life insurer. The French firm's global bancassurance expertise will be leveraged in this three-way venture, which also includes two public sector banks.

बीएनपी पारिबा कार्डिफ़ अब भारत के बीमा बाज़ार में वापसी करने जा रही है। वे इंडियाफर्स्ट लाइफ इंश्योरेंस में एक बड़ी हिस्सेदारी खरीद रहे हैं। इससे वॉरबर्ग पिंकस इस कंपनी से बाहर हो जाएंगे। फ्रांस की यह कंपनी अपनी बैंकिंग और बीमा की विशेषज्ञता का इस्तेमाल करेगी। यह एक तीन-तरफ़ा साझेदारी होगी, जिसमें दो सरकारी बैंक भी शामिल हैं।
