Bharat Biotech's subsidiary Nucelion Therapeutics has partnered with VeGen Bio to manufacture an advanced cancer treatment, marking an expansion into the cell and gene therapy market. Nucelion will provide technology transfer and manufacturing services for VeGen Bio's experimental CAR-T therapy, VL-2511, targeting multiple myeloma. The companies aim to advance the treatment towards clinical trials in India and potentially commercialise it by 2028, subject to regulatory approvals. This collaboration focuses on manufacturing capabilities rather than drug marketing.
