SEBI Chairman Focuses on Investor Protection, Resilient Capital Markets

SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey stated the regulator is enhancing capital markets for accessibility, efficiency, and resilience, prioritizing capital formation, ease of business, and investor protection. He noted that market capitalization has grown significantly, with companies raising over Rs 10 lakh crore annually. Pandey highlighted West Bengal's increased investor participation, from 12 lakh in FY15 to over 90 lakh currently. SEBI has also simplified fundraising processes through various measures, aiming to connect savings with productive investments and support business growth.

सेबी के चेयरमैन तुहिन कांता पांडे ने कहा कि रेगुलेटर पूंजी बाजारों को सुलभ, कुशल और मजबूत बनाने के लिए काम कर रहा है। वे पूंजी निर्माण, व्यापार में आसानी और निवेशक सुरक्षा को प्राथमिकता दे रहे हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि बाजार पूंजीकरण काफी बढ़ा है और कंपनियां सालाना 10 लाख करोड़ रुपये से अधिक जुटा रही हैं। पांडे ने पश्चिम बंगाल में निवेशकों की भागीदारी बढ़ने का भी जिक्र किया, जो वित्त वर्ष 2015 में 12 लाख से बढ़कर अब 90 लाख से अधिक हो गई है। सेबी ने विभिन्न उपायों से धन जुटाने की प्रक्रियाओं को भी सरल बनाया है, जिसका लक्ष्य बचत को उत्पादक निवेश से जोड़ना और व्यापार वृद्धि का समर्थन करना है।
