The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has earmarked ₹100.7 crore for essential infrastructure development in villages designated for its IT City project. This funding will cover roads, sewerage, drinking water, and drainage systems. LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar inspected the site and mandated a one-month deadline for accelerated progress, particularly on road restoration. Despite issuing numerous tenders, construction has lagged, leading to adverse entries against some engineers and a penalty on an architectural firm for delays. Kumar stressed prioritizing development in sectors where plots have already been allocated to farmers.
