Speaking at the c0c0n-2026 cybersecurity conclave in Kochi, he highlighted threats to individual privacy and national security posed by such technologies, referencing the Pegasus spyware. The minister also announced plans to revitalize Cyberdome, the Kerala Police's cybersecurity initiative. Deputy National Security Advisor T.V. Ravichandran urged a shift towards technological sovereignty and indigenous capabilities in cybersecurity.

केरल के गृहमंत्री रमेश चेन्निथला ने इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि राज्य में दखल देने वाले निगरानी उपकरणों का इस्तेमाल कानून के अनुसार, ज़रूरी और आनुपातिक होना चाहिए, जिस पर कड़ी कानूनी और संस्थागत निगरानी हो। कोच्चि में c0c0n-2026 साइबर सुरक्षा सम्मेलन में बोलते हुए, उन्होंने इन तकनीकों से व्यक्तिगत गोपनीयता और राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा को होने वाले खतरों पर प्रकाश डाला, और Pegasus स्पाइवेयर का ज़िक्र किया। मंत्री ने केरल पुलिस की साइबर सुरक्षा पहल, Cyberdome को फिर से सक्रिय करने की योजना की भी घोषणा की। डिप्टी नेशनल सिक्योरिटी एडवाइजर T.V. Ravichandran ने साइबर सुरक्षा में तकनीकी संप्रभुता और स्वदेशी क्षमताओं की ओर बढ़ने का आग्रह किया।
