Voter Lists Shrink Over 15% in Drafts

Voter lists have seen a significant reduction of over 15% since 2024 in states where the SIR phase-3 draft lists have been released. Maharashtra recorded the largest absolute drop with over 15.89 million electors, a 17.08% decrease. Delhi and Chandigarh experienced the sharpest percentage declines, at 35.89% and 31.84% respectively.
