Delhi Riots: Ex-AAP Councillor Tahir Hussain Convicted, 12 Others Acquitted

A Delhi court has convicted former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain in a 2020 Delhi riots case. He was found guilty under IPC sections 109 and 147 for inciting riots in Northeast Delhi's Dayalpur. However, the court acquitted 12 other co-accused in the same case, who faced charges including rioting and criminal conspiracy. Hussain was also previously convicted in the murder case of IB officer Ankit Sharma. The court has scheduled for sentencing arguments for Hussain, while the other accused were cleared of all charges.
