2.5 Lakh CAA Applications Pending; Certificates By December 31

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced that all eligible applicants under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), who migrated to India before December 31, 2014, will receive their citizenship certificates by December 31 this year. He stated that approximately 2.5 lakh applications are currently pending in the Nadia and North 24 Parganas districts. The Chief Minister also revealed plans to invest Rs 1,000 crore over the next two years for renovating old maths and temples under the ‘Tirthakshetra Circuit’ project.

2.5 लाख सीएए आवेदन लंबित दिसंबर 31 तक मिलेंगे सर्टिफिकेट

पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी ने घोषणा की कि सिटीजनशिप (अमेंडमेंट) एक्ट (CAA) के तहत सभी योग्य आवेदक, जो 31 दिसंबर 2014 से पहले भारत आए थे, उन्हें इस साल 31 दिसंबर तक नागरिकता सर्टिफिकेट मिल जाएंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि नादिया और उत्तर 24 परगना जिलों में लगभग 2.5 लाख आवेदन फिलहाल लंबित हैं। मुख्यमंत्री ने 'तीर्थक्षेत्र सर्किट' प्रोजेक्ट के तहत पुराने मठों और मंदिरों के नवीनीकरण के लिए अगले दो सालों में 1,000 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश की भी योजना बताई।
