Haryana's vigilance bureau has launched a reward scheme offering up to Rs 1 lakh to teams that successfully apprehend Class I officers accepting bribes. Informants providing credible information leading to arrests will receive 30% of the reward. This initiative aims to intensify the crackdown on corruption, especially following a review that identified 190 public servants allegedly demanding bribes. The bureau conducted 155 raids in the past nine months and registered 90 inquiries, emphasizing prompt action on complaints and sensitive handling of complainants.
