Allahabad HC Questions Full Court Meetings, Cites Only 16 in 10 Years
TV9 Hindi · india
The Allahabad High Court has raised serious questions about its administrative functioning and the process of full court meetings. A single-judge bench noted that in the past decade, only 16 full court meetings were held, significantly fewer than the stipulated frequency. The court observed that the current practice does not adequately record individual judges' opinions, potentially undermining the spirit of collective deliberation. It emphasized the need for more participatory dialogue among judges on administrative and judicial matters to maintain institutional discipline and the dignity of the judicial office.
