India's campaign at the Japan Open Super 750 suffered a blow with Lakshya Sen, Ayush Shetty, and Unnati Hooda exiting in the first round. Shetty narrowly missed an upset, taking second seed Kunlavut Vitidsarn to three games. The remaining Indian hopes now lie with PV Sindhu and the mixed doubles pair of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto, who are set to play their second-round matches.
