Man Gets Life Imprisonment For Murdering Live-in Partner in Modasa

A 35-year-old man has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a sessions court in Modasa for the murder of his live-in partner in August 2024. The court convicted Jigneshgiri Goswami of murder and imposed a fine of Rs 20,000. Despite several witnesses turning hostile, the court relied on medical and circumstantial evidence to convict the accused. The victim sustained fatal head injuries from blows with an iron hammer during a dispute at a garage. The court found no grounds for leniency given the gravity of the offence.

मोडासा की एक सेशंस कोर्ट ने अगस्त 2024 में अपनी लिव-इन पार्टनर की हत्या के आरोप में 35 वर्षीय शख्स को उम्रकैद की सज़ा सुनाई है। कोर्ट ने जिग्नेशगिरी गोस्वामी को हत्या का दोषी पाया और उस पर 20,000 रुपये का जुर्माना भी लगाया। कई गवाहों के मुकर जाने के बावजूद, कोर्ट ने आरोपी को दोषी ठहराने के लिए मेडिकल और परिस्थितिजन्य सबूतों पर भरोसा किया। गैरेज में हुए झगड़े के दौरान लोहे के हथौड़े से सिर पर गंभीर चोट लगने से पीड़िता की मौत हो गई थी। कोर्ट ने अपराध की गंभीरता को देखते हुए नरमी बरतने का कोई आधार नहीं पाया।
