LPG Aadhaar Rule Mandatory From October 1

Domestic LPG consumers must complete Biometric Aadhaar Authentication by October 1, 2026, to book subsidised cylinders. Over 27.43 crore consumers have already completed this process. Those who do not authenticate will pay market prices, losing subsidy benefits. This measure aims to ensure subsidies reach eligible households and prevent diversion of cylinders for commercial use. Authentication can be done during delivery, at distributor showrooms, or via oil company mobile apps.

घरेलू एलपीजी ग्राहकों को 1 अक्टूबर 2026 तक बायोमेट्रिक आधार ऑथेंटिकेशन कराना होगा। अभी तक 27.43 करोड़ से ज़्यादा लोग यह करवा चुके हैं। जो लोग ऑथेंटिकेशन नहीं करवाएंगे, उन्हें सब्सिडी नहीं मिलेगी और बाज़ार भाव से सिलेंडर खरीदना पड़ेगा। इसका मकसद यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि सब्सिडी सही लोगों तक पहुंचे और सिलेंडरों की कालाबाजारी न हो। यह काम डिलीवरी के समय, डीलर के पास या मोबाइल ऐप से हो सकता है।
