JMM MLA Joins Hunger Strike Over Teacher Postings Irregularities in Dhanbad

A hunger strike protesting alleged irregularities in government school teacher transfers and postings in Dhanbad has intensified with JMM MLA Mathura Das Mahto joining the protest. Mahto highlighted the issue of fewer teachers in rural schools compared to urban ones, despite a norm for a five-year tenure in one location. He noted that many teachers have remained in city schools for over 15 years. Mahto and Nirsa MLA Arup Chatterjee are seeking an early meeting of the district elementary education committee to resolve the matter.

धनबाद में सरकारी स्कूल के शिक्षकों के तबादलों और नियुक्तियों में कथित अनियमितताओं के विरोध में भूख हड़ताल तेज हो गई है, जिसमें झामुमो विधायक मथुरा दास महतो भी शामिल हो गए हैं। महतो ने शहरी स्कूलों की तुलना में ग्रामीण स्कूलों में शिक्षकों की कम संख्या के मुद्दे को उजागर किया, भले ही एक स्थान पर पांच साल के कार्यकाल का नियम है। उन्होंने बताया कि कई शिक्षक 15 साल से अधिक समय से शहर के स्कूलों में बने हुए हैं। महतो और निरसा विधायक अरूप चटर्जी इस मामले को सुलझाने के लिए जिला प्राथमिक शिक्षा समिति की जल्द बैठक बुलाने की मांग कर रहे हैं।
