Hindustan Times · world
A Pakistani court has directed the Sindh Board of Film Censors to reconsider its decision to deny screening certification to the award-winning documentary 'Ghost School'. The film addresses the pervasive issue of 'ghost schools' in Sindh, where educational institutions exist only on paper while salaries are still disbursed. The Sindh High Court set aside the board's earlier demand for the removal of specific expressions and scenes. Filmmaker Seemab Gul had approached the court after her documentary was denied clearance in August, despite approval from other provincial censor boards.
