The BJP has criticized the TVK party for participating in the INDIA bloc's protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. BJP State unit president Nainar Nagenthran questioned if TVK founder and Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay opposes the Constitution by joining the protest. Nagenthran called Vijay's opposition to SIR a "historic blunder," noting that some former MPs from Kerala have welcomed the revision. He further challenged Vijay to accept the notion that those elected after SIR are 'illegal occupants' and consider resigning.
